Texas Brown Ale is/was actually a thing in 1990s homebrewing circles. It was the origin for the American Brown Ale style. Once American homebrewers got a handle on English style Brown Ales and access to more American hop varieties, it was inevitable that a stronger, hoppier brown ale would show up. This one is even amped up from those, but not by a whole lot, then bourbon barrel aged.

An already fruity explosion of funk and apricot, we aged this one in California Sauv Blanc oak barrels for six months to pull a grassy melon glaze.
